David de Leeuw (February 14, 1965), copywriter and corporate journalist, took his first photographs in 2012, with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5, a compact camera. He did not have any basic knowledge of photography and learns as he goes, using an LX7 these days. David applies himself to urban photography: cityscapes, city birds, city nature, city reflections, city shadows and the city at night. As opposed to the method of many professional photographers, David does not set out with a fixed goal. He watches and if something moves him, he captures it. On an almost daily basis. Photography is David’s way to share his world, often dreamlike as he experiences it, with others.
